For those of you who had their eyeballs glued to their computer screens, tablets and smartphones during the various spring fashion weeks, you'll fully vouch for me when I say that fringe is one of- if not THE hottest trends for spring. (For those of you lucky enough to actually be at the shows, I'm #jealous. Unless you had to take the subway in between shows, with less than comfortable footwear , then in which case, #NotSoJealousAnymore).
Proenza Schouler, Rebecca Minkoff, Etro and others were among those designers who let their fringe do the talking (and moving and shaking). Fringe has stood the test of time because it’s fun, versatile and WEARABLE. Many a time, we see trends down the runway and think, “That’s great and all but I could never pull that off”. Well, if fringe was a high school girl, she definitely wouldn’t be sitting at the Plastics table. Fringe even made the Huffington Post’s style section’s top 10 wearable trends for spring.
So, one morning, during my Honey-Nut Cheerios/Coffee/morning Instagram check routine, I came across Sivan Boutique and immediately fell in love and went to fringe heaven. They just GET IT. This boutique’s style is very urban and effortlessly cool. Though they do not have a website (at least for the States anyway), you can still check out their Instagram for some serious #StyleInspo and to ogle at the beautifulness that is fringe.
