Weddings and ballets have a lot in common. They both require a love so passionate, that it would make Jack and Rose jealous. They both require outfit changes (well... a wedding doesn't REQUIRE one but, it's your day girl, do you) and they both inspired Israeli fashion designer Alon Livne.
Livne's latest fall bridal collection was shown at the Hogwart's dining hall-like ballroom at The Highline Hotel in New York City and was heavily inspired by 19th century Russian Ballet. The swan in particular, which is the epitome of softness, grace and beauty was Alon's focus. He interpreted this theme through ample usage of feathers, Swarovski crystals, intricate beading and stunning lattice work.
The fringe and feathers echoed the roaring twenties:
While the lacy high necklines evoked th Edwardian time period, which was seen all over the SS16 runways:
Thank you Alon!
