Medusa: The Next "It" Bag

Fashion is best served fresh. Too many times, we see sad knockoffs, blah silhouettes or worse: uninspired pieces that if had a Tinder profile would say, "Boring, tired and plain". It doesn't take a trained eye to see when a designer has been truly inspired. Immediately, whether seen on the runway, or on their website, the clothing and/or accessories evoke a certain emotion within us and in the immortal words of Missy Elliot, "Make us lose control".

While foraging for a new bag for the spring season, I came upon one such a brand. Founded in 2009 by Gili Rozin Tamam and Adi Gal, Medusa (which means jellyfish in Hebrew) is synonymous with innovation and out-of-the-box inspiration. They've been featured in Grazia Magazine, Fabulous Magazine and Vogue Italia.

Medusa's unofficial motto should be, "Opposites Attract". Gili and Adi marry traditional Ornamentica (handwork that originated in Morocco, Greece and India) with modern shapes and textiles such as industrial plastic to contribute something truly special and one-of-a-kind to the Israeli fashion world.

Adi and Gili work predominantly with primary and secondary colors, thus causing a visceral and immediate reaction, also known as the MEDT (Missy Elliot Double Take) mentioned earlier. There is a lot of science mumbo jumbo behind the strong reactions people have with primary colors but, bottom line: they make us happy. It seems like GilAdi (Gili and Adi) fully understand and embrace this concept because they curate their collections based on these electrifying primaries.
