Telavivian, an online lifestyle publication (I'm talking fashion, food, art, architecture, you know, all the stuff cultured folk are into) and one of my favorite Israeli online magazines, hosted two days of Objects of Desire. OOD (not to be confused with #ootd,) is Telavivian's first pop up event, that showcased up-and-coming designers.
Five designers were handpicked by the Telavivian team. They were chosen based on their uniqueness and their strong visions with their customers’ needs in mind. Each designer highlights current trends and emphasizes the importance of quality, usability and professional craftsmanship, therefore elevating the standards of Israeli design.
The event took place October 7th and October 8th from 11am-7pm, Israel time at the Artspace TLV gallery. (6 Schvil Ha-Merets St.).
In addition to the opportunity for the designers to sell and promote their brands, the two days celebrated female entrepreneurship with content and happenings that aimed to motivate others to take a step into innovation and creativity. In other words, #YOLO.
Here are the designers that put the “pop” into the event:
HANNAH. You can't more simple than that. These designers are all about the black and white, minimal shapes and AMAZING quality. Check them out, here.
Common Raven understands your "I want to rock the minimal look, while still keeping it feminine" problems. Rachel Cohen, the founder, really values craftsmanship and she believes that there's nothing a good pair of earrings can't fix.
Aviva Zilberman is all about being carefree and living the Dada life. (the movement, not the DJs). Her clothes are whimsical, yet utilitarian. Get to know her.
Le Freak, TRES Chic! The three lovely ladies behind Tres know a thing or two about the LBD. They give it modern updates with cutouts, asymmetrical hemlines and thoughtfully placed buckles and studs.
You are looking at #shoeporn at it's finest, people. VasnCrafts by Rotem Gur is all about quality, quality, QUALITY! From flats, to platforms, Rotem knows what makes our little shoe fetish hearts skip a beat.
I hope this Telavivian pop up event makes like a tie and hangs around some more.
